  2. MarturashiClan says:

how did you get your patch (ninja Kanji) to do on your gi?

  3. MOUNTAINOUS says:

@Hobbes306 no specific. i was in the bujinkan for 6 years and train in the 9 ryu ha of the bujinkan and did kenjutsu. they focused on combat applications not chiburi etc.. i used the sword skill i learned and practiced for a few years alone working on perfecting the movements the best i can. and i watched other styles and practiced other stuff and do my own thing now

  4. Hobbes306 says:

Hey man, I was wondering what style of Iai you practice. I saw a couple different styles of chiburi; are the waza you’re performing from several different schools? Just curious, thanks! PS Keep up the hard work!

  5. majorlifts says:

I do apologize, you seem to be well schooled, and have a vast knowledge in what you enjoy doing. Continue on the road you have traveled, and good luck.

  6. MOUNTAINOUS says:

you mean chiburi. that is the japanese name of the blood flip. and just cause he does it that way dont mean i do. every clan of samurai and every family and tradition has their own unique way and completely different style of doing this. that is why mine looks different. it is supposed to. my style is different. look at 5 videos of the best masters and they all do it different. do a search on japans last samurai and see what i mean

  9. MOUNTAINOUS says:

    never

  10. HyoojDong says:

Be honest. How often have you rolled into that little table, and sent all that junk clattering to the floor?

  11. MOUNTAINOUS says:

no biggie. alot of my old vids are bad camera and edited bad but this is a journal of my life and training and things i do. my family lives 2000 miles away and i see them once a year. this allows them to see my life. and my skills have grown alot but i still got along way to go. so i get comments on old vids alot and i send them links to new vids. i recommend 98-141 for training vids. they are just better in every way than my older vids

  12. Frankykarot1982 says:

Your skill definitly improved, I apologize for my previous comment.

your Iai is above mine, I shut up, have a good day and keep practicing :P

  13. MOUNTAINOUS says:

i learned some in the 6 years i spent in the bujinkan and then some from various iai masters. go to my channel and see vid 107. the sword is only one of 30 weapons i do.

  14. Rocketpig55 says:

  15. MOUNTAINOUS says:

  18. MOUNTAINOUS says:

some random zen garden cd from the one dollar store

  19. luxsato says:

Whats the name of the music that starts around 4:00 minutes? I’ve heard it a few times, and I like it.

By the way your form looks clean, but too choreographed, doesn’t seem to be any feeling in it. And I love the loose pointer fingers haha, reminds me of Aikido…

  20. AzunaiSmyth says:

    You sure like your chiburi!

Do you own any wakizashi? I’ve never seen you have any? Do you have any videos of you practising with your Ninjato Musashi Koga Black? Or is it ornimental (ive been told it’s fully functional)

  21. MOUNTAINOUS says:

yes this is my crib. my home. i live in this place. this is just one big room in my 2 bedroom. i live alone in a dojo. check out vid 113 i do a real cool up close virtual tour of the room up close on all the walls and armors. etc… but i have 134 training vids and the best ones are after 80 and the real new fun ones and most are outdoor are from vid 104-134, take care. some vids are alone and some have partners and i do over 30 weapons and modern combat stuff too

  22. ZenBuddhaNinja says:

Wow, is that a personal Dojo you have there? Enjoyed this video, thank you:)

  23. MOUNTAINOUS says:

just meditation and saying a japanese code in my mind. i own the armor cause i use it. go to vid 115 to see me ride horses in armor in the mountains. i train both ninja and samurai arts. i was in the bujinkan for 6 years and now i am part of the kamiyama dojo.

  24. shoulung says:

who are you trying to honor at 1:40 or that just for atmosphere?
also, why do you own two sets of ancient Japanese armor?
    very nice Shakuhachi music
and nice sword work, are you ninja, or samurai, or both?
sorry for all the questions, i really don’t mean anything bad by them, I’m just curious, hope you can answer

  25. MOUNTAINOUS says:

i have been doing this for years and there is always something to keep working on lol. and yes i know choson ninja. i was in his group but i am no longer. i spent 6 years in the bujinkan in my 20’s that is where i learned most my stuff. if i want to do it right i i will watch my current teachers or old japanese masters of iai. take care
