@hekoka Not necessarily. In Aikido there’s a mutual understanding that the uke will accept when he’s bested and go with the throw and hit the ground. If that understanding wasn’t there, you’d have broken bones and torn ligaments all over the place. This is the same reason why there aren’t any Aikido competitions. Works perfectly on the streets in self defence, when the attacker has no clue what you’re up to and won’t know when to flip or roll.
you know master, only if it was that easy. theres clips of grandmasters getting smashed to pieces because they never tested their skills against real world attackers. in judo i compete and slam my opponents on the ground, in boxing fights i try to take my opponents head off. having my pupils roll on the floor and fly in the air as soon as i touch proves nothing.
this shit works in the dojo with your friends but out there in the real world is an entirely different story

@SRBNSSRB i doubt that but the outcomeof a fight is never certain but im sure this guy isthe guy i know tho thinks hes goku with the “ki” maybhe he can rip me a new ass or maybe a chuck orrir spinning inside cresent will take his head off who knows
real aikido is transfer of motion energy and breaking bones ripping tendons but nothing works better than hitting heavens window automatic concusion (ko) this guy is a sham but he tries i guess thats worth somthing

Morihei Ueshiba left a great legacy AIKIDO to human kind ,to develop ourselves and enjoy this art. humans have adapted AIKIDO to its way of life and the way they live the life. Thats why nowadays there are many derivations from AIKIDO. I suppose this guys try to say “real aikido” instead of “street aikido” ,and its obviously a derivation from aikijutsu with adding more speed to techniques. Personally dont share the term “real aikido” because the aikido we all practice is real.

it seems to be that 10th dan in aikido is equal to a brown belt level in any other martial art.
